Biography

Luella's first marriage was to a man whose last name was Louis Franklin Kimm. They had one child, Leo Franklin Kimm. I located a MARRIAGE RETURN on his Ancestry file. They were married in the New Jerusalem Church 1 mile south of Pine City, WA on 13 July 1902. She was 17 and he was 25.

(Sarah) Luella Davis Kimm Cain also had a stepfather named Jacob Kimm, and therefore her mother's name was Sarah M. Laughery Davis Kimm. It is a very interesting puzzle to sort out.

Luella's 2nd husband was Albert Burnett Cain. They were married February 14, 1911 (Valentine's Day).

Note on the attached photo of Luella and her siblings and mother: Mamma 43 April 7; (the mother is Sarah Margaret (Laughery) Davis Kimm) Effie 21 January 5; Luella (with the bow in her hair) 20 April 17; Esther 18 April 24; Ada 16 January 7; Walter 15 September 12; Clara 13 August 3; and Alfred 11 May 19.

The photo is identified as belonging to Ruben Kenneth Kimm, Pine City, Washington September 10, 1905.

Family members are Albert B Cain (34); Luella S Cain (32) - - who was Sarah Luella Davis at birth, just for the record; Custin Cain (5) - - who is actually Austin, and Leo Kim (14) - - correct spelling is Kimm. He was Luella's son from prior to her marriage to Albert B. Cain. Also note that Austin was not 5 at the time of that Census. He was born November 24, 1912. so would have been about 7 when the census was taken. And, finally the town was Ontario not Cario.... Lots of census or transposing errors!
