Biography
The son of Francis Hugh Davis and Charlotte Robbins Davis. He married Emma O. Holdren on Aug 15, 1888 in Blackford Co, Indiana.
"William J. Davis, 75, well known farmer residing northeast of Eaton, died 08 Aug 1939 at the family home.
The wife survives. Mrs. Agatha Frazee-Benson and Kermit Frazee, children of William Frazee, former residents of South High Street, this city, are grandchildren of Mr. Davis. Mrs. Benson and Mr. Frazee are now residents of Muncie.
Mr. Davis had been a resident of this community for 44 years. He had not been actively engaged in farming since 1925."

I have changed the birth location of William Jefferson Davis to Blackford County, IN I am a family member, my mother was a niece to William, and am sure of my information. The death certificate is incorrect. William's father was born in Darke County, Ohio and mother in Randolph County, Indiana. All children but one were born in Millgrove, Blackford County, IN.
