Biography

Lizzie (Davies) Stowell was born in Shropshire, England.

Lizzie was born in Salop, Wellington, Shropshire England in 1884. She was one, of at least six, children born to William I., and Emma Davies. In 1891, Lizzie is still living with her parents and siblings in Wellington. By 1901, Lizzie is living with her sister Rebecca and her family in Keighley, West Yokshire. She lists her occupation as a "Worsted Winder". She married Edwin Stowell at Saint Mary Church in Keighley in 1906. They had at least one child together, Edna, born in 1909. Lizzie passed away on December 30, 1932 in Keighley. She left her personal effects to husband, Edwin.
