Richard (Davey) Davy was born in Ludgvan, Cornwall, England.

Richard Davey (aka Davy), the second son and second of a large family of children of Edmund Davey and Grace Adams was born at Ludgvan and baptized on 27 May 1745 at Penzance, Cornwall.[1]

Marriage and Children

Richard married Alice Spry say 1769 at Breage, Cornwall, England. [Needs source]. They had two sons born at Devon, England:

  1. Richard Davy (b. 1775; d. 16 Jun 1847, Oakhampton, Devon), m. 14 Jan 1798 at Sandford, Devon, England, Elizabeth Voisey Hawkins (1776-1870)[2]
  2. Robert Davy (b. 1780)

Death and Burial

Richard Davy died in September 1854 at Penzance, Cornwall, England based on the death registration for that district.[3]
