Biography

Ellen Triquet Daveney (married name Backhouse) was born around 1887,^[1] the daughter of Emily Genevieve Teresa Hooper and Charles Edward Vernon Daveney.^[2]

She married John James Chaffy "Chafey" Backhouse in 1910 in Queensland, Australia.^[3] Their children were:^[4]

• Kathleen La Monte Backhouse (1913–?)
• Ellen Triquet Backhouse (1918–2013)
• Charles Chaffey Colton Backhouse (1920–1986)

John died in July 1947 in South Killarney, Queensland.^[4]

Ellen died on 11 April 1978 in Queensland, aged 91 years.^[1][2] Her remains were interred at Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens in Holland Park, Queensland.^[1]
