Death of an Old Colonist. — A very old colonist, in the person of Mr. Achilles Digby Daunt, died yesterday at the residence of Mrs. A. Corthers, Campbell's Hill. The late Mr. Daunt was the fourth son of Mr. Thomas Daunt M.D., and was born at Fahalay Court, County Cork, Ireland, 89 years ago. In 1836, he left Ireland for Australia, landing in New South Wales, in the same year. He came at once to the Hunter Valley, and had resided here ever since — 66 years. For 40 years he lived at Quorrobolong.
