Biography

In a 1503 indenture, Edmund was described as a merchant of Ipswich.^[1]

He was granted a license to found a perpetual chantry for one chaplain at the altar of St. Thomas, in the south side of the nave of the parish church of St. Laurence the Martyr, Ipswich, to say mass for the good estate of "the King and Queen Katharine, the said Edmund Daundy, Thomas Wolsye, Dean of Lincoln, and William Daundy, son of the said Edmund, and for the souls of the King's ancestors, of Anne late wife of the said Edmund, and of Robert Wolsye and Joan his wife, father and mother of the said Thomas Wolsy. ^[2]

He died in 1515^[3] and his will was probated in that same year.^[4]
