Biography
Harold Ernest Daniel was born in Pittsworth, Queensland, on 15th August 1895, the son of Ebenezer Daniel and Elizabeth Neale.[1]
On August 12, 1915, Harold volunteered -- at Toowoomba -- for service in the Australian Imperial Forces during World War I. He listed his occupation as a "Grocer".
He became a member of the 42nd Battalion, the Australian Infantry, and he died at the Ypres Salient, Belgium, on August 1, 1917.[2][3]
