Allan Dacres was born in Québec, Canada.

Allan was born in Quebec, Canada, on February 2,1891. He was the son of Thomas Dacres and Anne Brown. He was enumerated in the 1891 Canada census as a two month old residing with his parents and one sibling in Compte, Quebec. No record found for 1901. Allan was one of seven children residing with his parents in Quebec in 1911.

Allan married Alexandrina Catherine Stuart on January 27, 1917, in Brompton, Quebec. It does not appear the couple had children. Allan and Rena appeared in the 1920 United States census residing at Lincoln Place, Brooklyn Assembly District 11, Kings, New York. They were living at 1377 East 26th Street, Brooklyn, in 1930.

Allan passed away on December 31, 1976. He was buried at Cimetière Mont-Royal, Outremont, Montreal Region, Quebec, Canada.
