Kirtland Kelsey Cutter was born at East Rockport, Ohio, on August 20, 1860, son of William Cutter and Caroline Atwater Pease, daughter of Mary Elizabeth Kirtland.

In 1870, Kirtland was living on his gr, grandfather, Jared Potter Kirtland's Ohio Estate, Whippoorwill Farm..[1]

Kirtland appied for a passport in 1896.[2]

Kirtland married Mary Corbin at Spokane, Washington, on October 5, 1892.[3]

Kirtland married Katherine Williams at Spokane, Washington, on February 19, 1906.[4]

Katherine Cutter died in 1933.

Kirtland Cutter passed away at Long Beach, California, on September 26, 1939, and his ashes, long believed scattered in the Pacific Ocean, were discovered to have been interred at Kealakekua, Hawaii.[5]
