Biography

Susan Curtiss was born on January 3, 1786 in Huntington, Fairfield, Connecticut, USA, daughter of Stiles Curtiss (1761–1827) and Clara Adams (1762–1796).^[1]

Susan (18) married Joseph Wakelee (18) (born on July 5, 1785 in Huntington; son of Josiah Shelton Wakelee and Mercy French) on May 24, 1804 in Huntington. Their children were:

• Susan Wakelee (1805–1885)
• William Wakelee (1807–1885)
• Stiles Wakeley (1811–1849)

Susan died on June 13, 1874 in Huntington, aged 88. She was buried in Long Hill Burial Ground, Shelton, Fairfield County, Connecticut.^[1]
