Biography

William was the son of James Madison and Serepta (Childs) Culver, born in 1834. He married, 28 Jan 1868, Joan Morey, daughter of Rueben and Mary (Blaisdell) Culver. She was born in 1835.

According to the 1850 census, he was 16 years old and living with his parents in Royalton, Windsor, Vermont.

By the time of the 1900 and 1910 Federal Census, he and his wife were living in Lebanon town (north part), Grafton, New Hampshire.

At the time of the 1920 census, he and his wife were residing in Manchester, Hillsborough, New Hampshire with his son, Arthur Carl Culver, his daughter-in-law, Ethel (Persons) Culver, and his granddaughter, Vivian E. Culver who was 24 years of age.

William and Joan had a daughter, Calma Louise Culver, who was born 30 May 1874 in Vermont.
