Biography

Alexander was born on 4 November1847 son of William Cross and Marion McLaren ^[1] . In the 1851 census Alexander (age 4) was the son of William Cross at 16 Monteith Row, Glasgow St James, Lanarkshire ^[2]

Alexander married Jessie Coats in 1874 at Maybole. ^[3]
