Biography

Anne was born in 1659, the sixth daughter of Richard Cromwell and his wife, Dorothy Major. She married Dr Thomas Gibson, Physician General of the Army.

Ann died on 7 December 1727 and was buried in the churchyard of St George's Chapel, London, next to her husband.

"Mrs Ann Gibson the sixth daughter died 7th December 1727 in the 69th year of her age, and lyes interred with Dr, Thomas Gibson her husband, Phsitian General of the army, in the churchyard belonging to St George's Chapel, London" ^[1][2]

Her name is recorded on the Cromwell Family Monument at All Saints, Hursley.
