Frances Crews was born on 9 Aug 1915 in Birmingham, Alabama to Steven Crews and Ellen Camel. She passed away on 23 Aug 1989.[1] [2]

In the 1940 census Frances Crews (age 24), domestic, was the single lodger of Roxy Hubert in Brooklyn, New York City, New York.[3]

Frances Crews enlisted in the Womens Army Corps on 17 March 1943 in New York City, New York. She was born 1915 in Alabama.[4]

She served as a Private in the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion from 4 Aug 1943 to 14 Jan 1946. She is listed in Pennsylvania on the Battalion's monument.[1] [5]

Frances Vernor Crews was buried in Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.[6]
