Percy William T Cree was born on 12th March 1888 in Queensland (Australia). He was the second child and eldest son of George Cree. [1] Shortly afterward, the family moved to Sydney, New South Wales.
Percy married Lily Crow in 1914 in Sydney. [2]
On 16th June 1942 at Marrickville, aged 54 years, Percy enlisted in the Australian Military Force's Volunteer Defence Corps, being posted to the 24th Battalion on a part-time basis, based at Marrickville. He attained the junior non-commissioned rank of Corporal. He was discharged on 30th September 1945, upon the conclusion of the Second World War. [3] For his service he was awarded the Australia Service Medal 1939-1945.
Aged about 61 years, he passed away in 1949 in Marrickville. [4]
