John was born in 1839. John married Helen Elida Fairchild in 1862. John enlisted in Company A of the 103rd OVI on 14 Aug 1862 as a Private. He mustered out with the company on 12 Jun 1865. John was a Laborer in Ohio and later a a Farmer and Minister in Michigan. He passed away in 1907.
