Henry Robinson Crane was born on 14 Nov 1809 in Schoharie, Schoharie County, New York to parents Nathanial Crane (1778-1853) and Hannah Bixby (1791-1869).
He was aged 40 and living in Cape Vincent, Jefferson County, New York with his wife Salome (49, New York) and their New-York-born children Mary (10), Henry (9), Wilder (7), Sarah (5) and Salome Crane (3).[1]
Vicki Johnson Crane stated: "Henry Robinson Crane was my husband David Crane's great-great grandfather. He and Salome ran an inn at Crane's Corners near Cape Vincent, Jefferson County, New York. When they returned from a wedding to find the inn had burned to the ground in their absence, Salome cried and Henry decided it was time to move to Wisconsin."
Henry passed away on 2 May 1876 in the Town of Royalton, Waupaca County, Wisconsin.
He was buried in Hobart Cemetery in Ostrander, Town of Mukwa, Waupaca County, Wisconsin.[2]
