Biography
Charles George Coxall was born in January 14, 1850 at Wolf Island to Lawrence Coxall and Emma L Darby, both born in England. He passed away on March 19,1928 at Tamworth. At the time of his death he was a retired merchant, and left behind a wife Mrs L E Coxall, who was the informant at his death.[1]
In 1861, 11 year old Charles was living with his widowed mother, Amelia Coxall, and his four siblings in the Township of Wolf Island. Amelia was employed as a grocer. Walter (16), Elizabeth (9), Emma (6) and John R (4).[2]
Elizabeth Ireland married Charles George Coxall on September 21, 1876 at Grey, Ontario.[3]
In 1901 Charles and Elizabeth were living in the Township of Sheffield where Charles was a merchant.[4] They had six children living at home at the time:
- Edith Coxall 21 (1 Jan 1880)
- Hattie Coxall 19 (13 Mar 1882)
- Fanney Coxall 17 (21 Dec 1884)
- Stanton Coxall 15 (21 Jan 1887)
- Walter Coxall 10 (4 May 1890)
- Laurence Coxall 5 (10 Jun 1895)
