Cecil Gertrude Cowland (married name Smith) was born about 1875, her birth registered that year in at Pleasant Creek, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of William Unwin Cowland and Sarah Matthews.[1]
Marriage. She married John Smith in 1904 in Victoria.[2]

Cecil Gertrude Smith died in 1963, aged 87. Her death was registered Kew, Victoria, giving Stawell as her birthplace and naming her parents correctly. Stawell used to be known as Pleasant Creek. [4]
