Mary Tarvin Cowgill was born May 4, 1806 in Maysville, Mason, Kentucky. She died February 1, 1887 in Covington, Kenton, Kentucky at age 81.

Daughter of Elisha Parks Cowgill (1773-1855) and Ann Stanton Tarvin (1777-1839).
