Posted on Findagrave.com: Vincent A. Cousin Sr., 81, of Springfield died at 9:25 p.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1912, in Coal City, the son of Edward and Mary DuFour Cousin. He married Stella Hilliard in 1935. Preceding him in death were his wife in 1987; a sister, Mary Cousin; and companion, Grace Smith. Mr. Cousin retired from Allis Chalmers in 1974 as a motor repairman after 40 years of service. He had been a lifelong resident of Springfield. He was a lifetime member of TRN Club and a trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club Aerie 437. Surviving are three sons, Vincent A. Cousin Jr. of Springfield, Robert W. Cousin of Riverton and James M. Cousin of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. James (Jane) Ibberson of Grapeland, Texas; two brothers, Edgar Cousin of New Berlin and Edward Cousin of Auburn; a aunt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at Staab Funeral Home, with Tim Dally officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. State Journal-Register(Springfield, IL) - January 16, 1994
