Arthur Courtenay was born in Ireland.

Arthur was born c.1842 [2] in County Wicklow. [3] He was the son of Patrick Courtney. [4]
He married Anne Connor (née Megan) on the 8th November 1882 in Wicklow Town. [4]
He was recorded in Rathnew Town, County Wicklow on the 1901 [3] and 1911 Censuses. [5]
Arthur passed away, aged 73, on 29th June 1915 in Rathnew. [2]

There are no Courtney/Courtenay's living in Rathdrum, Wicklow at the time of the 1911 census. There is however an Aurthur COURTNEY living at Rathmine, Wicklow with his family at that time. It is presumed this is the same person, even though the age is stated as 84 in 1911, it was quite common in Ireland for ages to be incorrectly stated.
