James Edgar Coursey was born on November 29, 1903 in Peggs, Cherokee, Oklahoma Territory, son of John Richard Franklin Coursey (1858–1908) and Rosa Isabell Brown (1869–1948).^[1]

Mom's (Bonnie's) notes show that James Edgar married Thelma (no last name) on Jan 1, 1906 when he was 3 years old.
