Talitha Cotton was the daughter of Thomas Cotton, Sr. and Patience Bridgers. She was born in 1745. She was the wife of Robert Hobdy/Hobday. "Talitha Cotton and Robt. Hobdy married near Halifax, N.C.; came to Sumner Co, Tenn. in 1791, in wagons. Robt. Hobdy died, about 1800, and Talitha Hobdy married Dempsey Powell."[1] She passed away in 1846.
