Biography

Martin Costello was about 20 when he emigrated with his family to South Australia on the Amazon, arriving at Port Adelaide on 20 Feb 1852. ^{[1] [2]}

He married Catherine O'Connor 9 Jan 1858 at St John Church, Kapunda. ^[3]

He married Anne Sexton 23 Sep 1865 at St John Church, Kapunda. ^[4]

He passed away age 66 in 1894 at Fords, near Kapunda ^[5]

SUDDEN DEATH. Mr. Martin Costello, aged 65 years, of near Fords, was found dead in his bed on Christmas morning. He was in Kapunda on the previous evening, and walked home carrying a large parcel of meat. Dr. Glynn was communicated with, and after examination gave a certificate that death was due to fatty degeneration of the heart. An inquest was considered unnecessary. ^[6]

COSTELLO. On the 25th December, 1894, near Fords, Martin, the beloved husband of Annie Costello, of heart disease, aged 66 years, leaving seven sons and 12 daughters to mourn his loss. May he rest in peace. ^[7]
