Lewis Richard Cossens was born 1907 at Maryborough Victoria. He was the son of Richard Cossens and Jane Moss. Married Olive Hazel Wall in 1934. In 1942 He enlisted for military service in the RAAF during WW2. At discharge of service in 1945 he had been posted to RD&IU, Radio Development and Installation Unit (Melbourne section)[1].
After the war Lew & Ol ran a dairy farm near Katunga (Shepparton) Vic, where was spent the holidays of our childhood. Lew passed away 1997 and he is interred at Numurkah Cemetery. Aged 90 years.
Lew & Ol were my Great Aunt & Uncle. They were the kindest people you could ever meet. I think they knew my father was broken by the war & their farm was a good quiet place for us to holiday. [2]
