Desire was Timothy Meeker's 3rd wife as named in the DAR Patriot Index. ^[1]

His first wife was Sarah Pierson who died at age 20, 2 children; second one was Hannah Munn, who died abt 1739, 1 child.

Desire Cory was 3rd wife - married for more than 50 years - had 13 children

It seems probable that here father was William Cory, but he is a bit mysterious. Others believe that it was Joseph Cory, due to links to Desire's children in his will, but it appears that Joseph may well be Desire's brother, not father. Here are some links to the discussions:[1], [2]
