Violet Louise Cory was born on March 2, 1906 in Muncie, Center Township, Delaware, Indiana, United States, daughter of John Frederick Cory (1884–<1925) and Nannie Gould Marshall (1886–1965).
In 1920, Violet (14) was living in household of Nannie Corey (23) in Savannah, Chatham with her mother, Nannie Corey (23); and Violet Corey (14), James Corey (11), Robert Corey (6), and August Stolde (44). [1]
Violet (21) married Jackson Masten Spencer (32) (born on July 7, 1895 in Illinois, United States) on December 14, 1927 in Jasper, South Carolina, United States.[2]
