Biography

Note: Although Eleanor's christening states that her father is Robert, not James, it does give her mother as Ellen, and the 1861 census states that she is sister to James born 1805. So it seems likely that the christening record is misleading, wrong, or maybe James was sometimes known as Robert, or maybe his father or brother was Robert and it was they who accompanied Ellen to the christening.
