Biography
Joseph Cormier was born on November 03, 1766 in Miquelon, Colonie de St Pierre et Miquelon. His parents were Joseph Cormier and Marie Vigneau. He married Jacquette LeTousse on January 24, 1803 Together they had the following children:
- Genevieve Celina Cormier
- Onezime Cormier
- Joseph Cormier
- Benoit Cormier
- Charles Marie Cormier
- Fortune Cormier
- Eugene Cormier
He died on February 17, 1833 in Miquelon, St Pierre et Miquelon, France
Research Notes
In Joseph's marriage record there is a mention of an uncle Joseph Cormier who is 62 years old. His father is Joseph and was born in 1734 (and had passed away in 1785) so unless there were two Josephs (unlikely), this isn't a brother of his father. Could be a great-uncle or another relation and they just used 'uncle' in a more general sense.
There is also an Armand Le Cire (Cyr?) listed as the brother-in-law of Joseph - don't know of an Armand/Amand Cyr who married a Cormier. Should look into it to see if can find out who this is.
