Biography
Mathilde was baptized 19 May 1838 in St-Anselme. She is the daughter of Pierre Cormier and Blanche Babineau. Parents are said to be from Memramcook.
Her funeral service was held in Memramcook on 27 Apr 1864. She was widow of Pascal Cormier and 25 Years oldé
Research Notes
We know that Pascal was widower of Mathilde Cormier when he married Angèle Ouellet. Although Mathilde's parents are not identified in the register entry for her wedding, we know that she was from Dorchester parish of Westmorland County, so either Memramcook or St-Anselme. She died in 1864 at the age of 25; so she was born in 1838 or 1839. The only Mathilda Cormier that I found born at that time is Pierre Cormier's and Blanche Babineau's daughter who is said to be 12 years old in the 1851 Census.
