I have not yet done much work on the Ashton line yet. However, I will start looking into it now.

Sarah Maple was the granddaughter of William Lee born at Leehall in 1650. Her First husband was Solomon Coombes who died before Oct. 31 1750 when an assessment was made of his estate. She married Benjamin Maple the half brother of David Lee. Their first child was William Maple. After 1790 she settled in Decatur N.Y. where she is listed as a founding member of the first church of Decatur along with members of the Marvin and Waterman families, relatives of her grandmother Mary Marvin and Marys aunt inlaw Waite Waterman. These include Benjamin Marvin and his wife Sarah Hoyt a relative of her daughter in-law Dorothy Hoyt Coombes. Her daughter Elizabeth Coombes Gue lived in New Paltz N.Y. s. of Decatur. David Lee's great great grandson Andrew Lee married Elizabeth Coombes, Solomon's 4th cousin, etc.
