Ronald (Ronnie) Balfour Corbett was born at Edinburgh in Scotland, in 1930, the son of William Balfour Corbett (1898–1974), a master baker, and his London-born wife Annie Elizabeth Corbett (née Main; 1900–1991).
Ronnie Corbett married dancer, Ann Hart, and they had two daughters.
The couple also had a first born son, who died aged six weeks.
Best known for his role in the Television comedy show, The Two Ronnies beside Ronnie Barker.
Ronnie was awarded the OBE for services to entertainment, and later awarded "Commander of the Order of the British Empire" in 2012.
Ronnie Corbett passed away at London, England on the 31st of March 2016.
