Michael Koppenheffer was born in 1733 in Tulpehocken Township, Berks, Pennsylvania.[1] He was the son of Johann Thomas Koppenheffer and Anna Maria "Anne" (Zinn) Koppenheffer.

Marriage

Michael married Eva (Batdorf) Koppenheffer in 1759. He was a farmer and distiller of Mifflin Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.[2][3] Michael and Eva had seven known children:

  2. Maria Elizabeth (Koppenheffer) Bordner
  3. Johannes Koppenheffer Senior
  4. Maria Catharina (Koppenhaffer) Bonawitz
  5. Michael Koppenheffer
  6. Friedrich Koppenheffer
  7. Eve Christina (Koppenheffer) Moyer

Military

Michael was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He served in Captain Battorf's Second Company, attached to the 6th Battalion of Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Also patriotic service in that he signed the Remonstrance in Berks Co. [4]

Death

Michael passed away 5 Nov 1823 (aged 89–90) in Mifflin Township, Dauphin, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Saint John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Berrysburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [5][6] There are many details in this will.[7][8]
