Hello Сheryl! Thank you for creating daddy’s profile page. I have the entire Winchester genealogy going back to when we first arrived in the South Carolina colony in 1730. I have all the New Zealand genealogy for my mothers people colonizing New Zealand in the early 1840s from England. I am brand new to wiki tree but as I become familiar with this, I will be happy to share all my information and cherish photographs to help those who desire to discover their own heritage. Yes we are American Indians as well, Cherokee’s from Kentucky through great grandpa Joseph Sherman Winchester. His first marriage was to a full blood Cherokee princess, who was my grandfather Jessie’s mother. Great grandpa Joseph Sherman Winchester was a full blood Cherokee himself. Looking forward to learning how to properly use and upload documents to wiki tree. Sincerely respectfully, Catherine Winchester

Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you konw that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

You're welcome :)

I removed myself as manager for the profiles that I created in the process, so don't forget to go and adopt them.

Went and connected your French Canadian side a bit more thoroughly. You can find most of the original sources at www.genealogiequebec.com - a 1 month subscription is pretty reasonably priced and will help you finish off that side of your tree. N.B. You should get in touch with Joseph-2018.

Hi Cheryl,

If you are confident completing certain merges, you can skip those and leave them for someone else to work.

Thanks,

Regarding

Cheryl says Williamson-2031 and Osborne-214 are not ready for merging because:

There do not seem to be enough definite matching details to give approval for final merge

Did you read the biography and the notes I gave when proposing the merge? Is it your plan to do the necessary research?

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

These projects seem to fit your ancestors: Virginia Project, (Leader- Liz Shifflett) and Quebecois Project for the Rousseau ancestors.Click the link to read how to join.

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.

For questions, just ask!

PS If "Page Not Found" error occurs in your email, check the comments on your profile page for this message.

Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Cheryl, If you can tell me who your mother's Rousseau ancestors were, I will see if I can find a connection.

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for your comment. If you can tell me who are your mother's Rousseau ancestors, I will see if I can find a connection. I have an extensive database of Rousseaus that isn't yet on wikitree.

Cheryl ~ Yes, a death certificate does qualify as a "secondary" source for birth dates and, barring other evidence, can be used to establish a birth date. Death Certificates are primary sources for Death dates, but only secondary sources for birth dates because that information is usually supplied by the informant (often a relative) and therefore not as reliable as birth records and records where the individual self-discloses. I've updated the dates and added additional information, but you would have been welcome to do so as well. Thank you! well done. ~ Mike
