William Cook's relationship to Susannah and Valentine Cook, and also to Lindsey Cook is proven through a record from Susannah Cook's estate. William and the other heirs received various sums of money over a period of several years from Susannah's estate. On one record, William receives six dollars and eighty seven sents (sic) which he says was part of "my mothers" estate. He received the money from his brother John Cook who was one of the administrators of Susannah Cook's estate. William Cook received the money "by the hands of Linsy my son".
