George Cook is a part of US Black heritage.

George Frederick Cook was born in 1873 in Washington, DC. He was the son of John Cook and Helen Appo.[1]

In 1900, George Frederick a mechanical engineer. He was living in Bonners Ferry, Idaho (like his brother John Francis), as a boarder in Mr. Joseph P. Beeler's hotel.[2]

In his World War I draft registration, he listed his occupation as "manager of an estate for self". He was living with his sister Elizabeth Appo Cook (listed as his nearest relative) at 1915 New Hampshire Avenue, Washington DC.[3]

In 1920 he was living with his sister in Washington, DC. (though enumerated with an incorrect age).

He died on 9 June 1928 in Washington and was buried at Harmony Cemetery.[4] It is presumed that his remains were removed to .
