Biography

Jane Cook was born about 1832, in Greenstead, Essex. She was the daughter of Edward Cook and Elizabeth unknown. In 1841, Jane was residing with her parents and siblings in Ipswich Road, Greenstead, Essex. ^[1] A decade later and Jane was still living at home with her parents and siblings in Ipswich Road. By this time, she was a 19-year-old laundress. Her father was 61.^[2]
