Sgt. Lewis Stephen Cook was a Confederate soldier stationed at Ft. Donelson in Tennessee during Grant's siege. He was shot on February 14, 1862, while raising the Confederate Flag above the walls of the fort.

Buried in Tennessee six days after the Battle of Ft. Donelson on Feb. 14, 1862.
