Farmer Passes Away in Madison Hospital Today at Age of 58

Klevinville, Wis.-John P. Connors, 58, farmer residing near here, died today in a Madison hospital after a long illness. He was a member of the Holy Name society at St. Mary's Catholic church, Pine Bluff.

Surviving are the widow; one son, David, and one daughter, Miss Rosella Connors, at home; four brothers, Joseph, James, Klevenville; Simon, Madison; Thomas, Belleville; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Gallagher, Mrs. John Gallagher, Madison; Mrs. Thomas Reilly, Blue Mounds.^[1]

Biography

On 2 May 1917, John Connors and Kate O'Connell got married in Dane, Wisconsin, USA. ^[2]

On 12 Sep 1918, John Patrick Connors registered for the World War I Draft Registration in Dane, Wisconsin. He was born 27 Jan 1877. His residence at the time was Klevinville, Dane, Wisconsin. He was a farmer in Springdale, Dane, Wisconsin. Kate Connors in Klevenville was his nearest relative. He was medium build and height, blue eyes and dark hair. He had no disqualifications. ^[3]

In 1880, John P Connors, age 3, was living in Springdale, Dane, Wisconsin, with his parents, Margaret, age 32, and Patrick Connors, age 43; and his siblings: Thomas R, age 22, and Ellen C, an infant. Patrick was born in Ireland. Margaret was born in Canada, and the children were born in Wisconsin. ^[4]

In 1900, John P Connors, age 23, was living in Cross Plains, Dane, Wisconsin, with his parents, Margaret, age 54, and Patrick Connors, age 60; and his siblings: Thomas R, age 2, Ellen C, age 19, Marie, age 19, Anna, age 17, Juliet, age 16, James, age 11, and Frannie, age 10, Joseph, age 7 and John's uncle, Michael Connors, age 69.. Patrick and Michael were born in Ireland. Margaret was born in Canada, and the children were born in Wisconsin. ^[5]

In 1920, John Connors, age 41, was living in Springdale, Dane, Wisconsin, with his wife, Kate, age 31, and their son, David, age 1. They were all born in Wisconsin. John and Kate's father was born in Ireland and John's mother was born in Canada. Kate's mother was born in Ohio, USA. ^[6]

In 1930, John P Connors, age 52, was living in Springdale, Dane, Wisconsin, with his wife, Caterena O, age 42, and a lodger, Joe B Domeany, age 15. They were all born in Wisconsin. ^[7]

John was born in 1877. His parents were Patrick Connors (1833-1916) and Margaret Ann (Carey) Connors (1847-1917). He married Catherine Ellen (O'Connell) Connors (1888-1998) and they had the following children together:

• David Patrick Connors 1918–1993, and

• Rosella M Connors Lamberty 1922–2012.

He passed away in 1936 and is buried at Saint Mary of Pine Bluff Catholic Church Cemetery, Pine Bluff, Dane, Wisconsin. ^[8]
