Biography
Benoni Colvin was born circa 1784, in Danby, Rutland county, Vermont, son of Stephen Colvin and Mary (Merrithew) Colvin. In 1807, in Purchase, Westchester county, New York, Benoni married Rebecca Canfield. Children of Benoni and Rebecca are:
- Dennis Colvin, born 1819
- Luther Colvin, born 1823
- William D. Colvin, 1825-1903
- Jared Canfield Colvin, 1834-1864
- Emeline Colvin
- Lyman Colvin
Benoni died in 1859, in Oxford, Erie county, Ohio
