"He was educated at Auburn public school, Newington College (1897–1898), The King's School (1898–1902) and the University of Sydney. He graduated as a Bachelor of Medicine and Chirurgery in 1908. After his WWI War service, he undertook specialist training in ophthalmology in Britain before returning to Orange where he established a highly successful specialist practice"[1][2]

Educated at Auburn public school, Newington College; The King's School, Parramatta and University of Sydney., MB ChM 1908; Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons; resident medical officer, Sydney Hospital in 1908, pathologist in 1909; practised at Orange; returned to practise in Orange, in general practice then specialising in opthalmic surgery; director of Western Newspapers Limited and Western Daily Pty Ltd; honorary surgeon to the Duke of York in 1927 tour and to Duke of Gloucester in 1934; secretary of Western Division of British Medical Association of New South Wales. Member of hospital commission from 1929, vice chairman in 1934, of Medical Board of New South Wales from 1937, of Sydney Hospital Board from 1944 until 1963; associated with Far West Children's Health Scheme, Legacy, Spastic Centre Council, Orange Agricultural and Pastoral Society; councillor of Fairbridge Farm Schools; associated with a number of sporting organisations, including the Orange Jockey Club; Union and Australia Clubs.' Personal Biography

Arthur Edmund Colvin was born on 24 April 1883 at Kiama, New South Wales, Australia[7], the son of Rev. Edmund Alexander Colvin and Gertrude Elizabeth Reynolds Huntley.

He married Edith Jaques Stack, the daughter of Reverend George Bagot Stack, on 22 September 1910 at Burwood, New South Wales, Australia[8] and Arthur and Edith had no children.

In 1936 Arthur and Edith traveled to New York, New York, United States aboard the "Queen Mary" as Diplomats but this doesn't seem to be a long term trip because of Arthur's parliamentary dutes in New South Wales. Arthur, who was recorded on the passenger list as a Surgeon, while Edith was listed as his wife [9][10].

Arthur died on 21 August 1966 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia[11].
