"Jinsey was the best farmhand in Old Sol's family. She was the strongest woman in the county, medium height, weighing 130 pounds. It was said she could shoulder three bushels of wheat. She could swing an ax like an logger and was a good hand in clearing. She could ride as well as the average man. In the wintertime she was usually attired in linsey-woolsey with a red bandana around her head. She had dark brown eyes and hair, with complexion to match.
