James, I am planning to update the profile for Rowland Soule-2494, particularly for his wife and children. I see that you've listed Mary Phelps (1765-?) as his wife, but not have listed your source for this information. Could you tell me from where you drew that relationship and, if available, the date and place of the marriage? Thank you.

Tom,I am not the pm of soule-2494 and have made no changes to his profile. ( see changes on his profile page) However I did see this on his profile page at FS (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/KN1R-4KG). " Find A Grave Memorial# 127945576; The three Rowland Soules have been telescoped for years. There are 1) Rowland b. 1733 d. 1785+, who was father of 2) Rowland b. ca 1762 and 2) was father of 3) Rowland b. 1784 NY d. 1859 PA m. ca 1805 Cynthia Phelps" By Louise in CA. Also Findagrave.com #127945576; also see R Sole in 1850 census: Elkland, Tioga Co. NY in household of Joseph White, 43 CT, and Hannah White, 41 NY, with children aged 15-1. Hannah b. 1808 d. 1889 is his daughter. So this R[owland] Sole/Soule/Sowle has to be b. ca 1784 and d. 1859 PA and is son of Rowland Soule b. ca 1762 and grandson of Rowland Soule b.1733. by Louise in CA. You should know who "Louise" is.

Thanks again, James. No, you are not the PM for Rowland Soule-2494 (I am), but you are the PM for Mary Soule-5990. That profile links Mary to Rowland by marriage. I also note that the FamilySearch page for Rowland Soule Jr. (KN1R-4KG) shows Mary Phelps (9MMW-3XG) as being the wife of both Rowland Soule Jr. and his father (GQZF-CVG), an obvious impossibility. Rowland Sr's wife was, incidentally, Mary Irish-1385. Also, the Findagrave memorial ID you cite makes no reference to a spouse for Rowland Jr. I remain without a wife for Rowland Soule Jr (-2494) and hopeful that you can help me justify that Mary Cynthia Phelps is my missing person. Any clues will help, and thanks once more.

Look at https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:NetworkFeed&who=Phelps-5990 and https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:NetworkFeed&who=Soule-2494 I cant be held responsible for others mistakes.I would suggest you pose your question to the G2G discussion forum. That I am sure would be the best next step.Maybe Anne or Louise will step in and provide clarification.BTW thanks for all the great work you have done.it means a great deal to me :)

Hi James Collins, I have searched for years to see if Hannah and Ezekiel Soule were the parents of a Major William Soule (as written by Messrs. J.A. Delano & M.D. Delannoy, c. 1910) and have since been told that this (Maj.) William's baptism certificate in a Church in Duxbury listing Hannah & Ezekiel as his parents. The other William Soule has been told to me that his father was a Timothy Soule of Maine. Short of having a DNA test done from their bones, I don't know how this confusion can be resolved. Please advise. Best, William Sowles

Hi James in the merger of Della (Rich) Cobb the profile mgr of Rich-62 was the one who would get the final profile as they had the lower profile number. My profile was Rich-90.

I can't remember their name, thanks for all your help Taylor.

Hi!

How's everything going? You might be finding duplicate profiles now. We have a Help Page to help you learn what to do with them. Be sure to check for your pending merges by going to FIND, PENDING MERGES, and sort for those waiting on you. Upon completing a merge, be sure to clean up/edit the Biography as ALL information from both profiles are copied and remove any duplicate info.

If you want updates on surnames you can add them by going to MY WIKITREE, NAV HOME PAGE, scroll down to just below WIKI GENEALOGY FEED to EDIT FOLLOWED SURNAMES. You can add up to 20.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those situations.
