Lydia Collins is a part of US Black heritage.

Lydia was born enslaved before 1862. She was one of the 171 enslaved people owned by Josiah Collins III, on the Somerset Plantation who was moved to the Hurry Scurry Plantation on 30 Oct 1862 when the Union troops moved into North Carolina. She passed away after 1862.
