Biography
Hélène Mathilde was born 14 Mar 1829 and was baptized the next day in Montmagny (St-Thomas). She was the daughter of François Collin and Magdeleine Proux. Godparents were Etienne Denault and Emerentienne Bernier, no signatures. [1]
On 28 Jul 1851, in Montmagny, Mathias Talbot dit Gervais adult son of François Talbot dit Gervais and Rose Gagné married Mathilde Hélène Collin adult daughter of François Collin and Magdeleine Proulx. Witnesses included both fathers, the couple signs the register along with several guests. [2]
Mathilde Collin, 55 year old widow of Matthias Talbot, died 14 Jan 1882. She was buried 2 days later in St-Norbert d'Arthabaska cemetery. [3]
