On 16 May 1705 in Gloucester County, Virginia, Thomas served as a witness for a Bond from John Boswell to Thomas Booth associated with a pair of Indentures dated 14 April 1705.[1]
Thomas passed away 14 Mar 1748, in Gloucester County, Virginia.[citation needed]
These two profiles appear to share the same death date, presumably based on the Will dated 10 Feb 1748 being proved on that date [?]: Spratlin-29 23:01, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
Thomas was named as Godson of Thomas Ray in Ray’s will dated 25 Aug 1654. He received a cow calf.[7]
While York County is across the river from Gloucester County, so relatively close, what suggests this is the same Thomas Coleman. Is there a family relationship with the Rays? Spratlin-29 23:45, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

Since this profile is being managed by the U.S. Southern Projects can't one of the managers clean this up a bit so that speculation about Thomas is under Research Notes and only facts with sources are provided in the Biography. I could easily do it but don't want to overstep.
The Project's role as co-manager of profiles is primarily to monitor changes to profiles to help ensure everyone is "driving between the lines" (Honor Code, collaboration, guidelines, etc.) on profiles within the scope of the Project. The Project is just one of the "We" in the first point of the Honor Code:
"We collaborate. When we share ancestors we work together on the same ancestor profiles."
You would not be overstepping, and your contributions will be greatly appreciated. Our "Needs Attention" list is a little out of hand:
This profile appears to be (or was) conflated with another listed in the research notes. This profile needs an identity statement (the other profile has one) and further deconflation. It is not clear where the death date that was previously shared between these two came from. I revised the other profile's death date based its Will execution date ("after") , lacking a Probate date ("before") to use. Need to locate images of that profile's Will and Probate.
The Parish records of the children's births appear to serve to deconflate these two Thomas Colemans, but this profile really needs a Will, Probate, or other death-related record.
I believe this may be the right order of things. Most of the profiles are already available and I am requesting merges to blend it all together. Most of this is based on the will of Thomas Coleman Sr. (1652 - 1748) and on

There are lowered numbered profiles for both Thomas and purported father Robert. The two Roberts are different enough to create concern.
There are 3 wives, but you didn't comment about disposition of Elizabeth.
And there are different but also overlapping children.
If any of these persons are conflated instead of duplicated, it will be difficult to unwind that after a merge.
I proposed to move these to unmerged matches, or reject the merges until they can be straighten out.
