Biography
Elmore was born in 1899. He was the son of George Abner Oliver Cole and Rosillah Rogers. He served in WWI, and was a sergeant in the 145th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force.[1]
In the Second World War, he served with Royal Rifles of Canada, R.C.I.C. the as a Company quartermaster sergeant. He passed away from croup pneumonia and dysentery while a prisoner of war in Japan in 1944.[2]
His son Bliss was part of the same regiment, and was prisoner in the same camp; he survived to return home.
