Mary Ann Cole was born on 2 February 1760 in St. Mary's County, Maryland, daughter of Ann Ardenstone (~1747–~1826).[1] [2]

Mary (23) married Barney Ford (29) (born in Anne Arundel, Maryland; son of Mordecai Ford and Ruth (Barney) Ford) on 8 September 1783 in Baltimore, Maryland.[3] Their known children were:
